Trev's Big Milestone

Trevor made his first trip to the Emergency Room. Wow, what a milestone. I never want to go through that again. I'm sure he feels the same way.

Trevor was following me downstairs to our dank basement to get some things out of the deep freezer. He always follows me down, walking on his own the entire way. Somehow, I think he tripped over his slippers, he fell head first onto the concrete floor. Only about 4 steps, but it was enough to really hurt him. I heard the fall, the sound was painful...Like knocking on wood.

We jumped in the car, in our pajamas...As quickly as you can with two boys. I had to keep shaking his legs on the way to the hospital to wake him up. His eyes were rolling back, the whole bit. After some xrays and a CT scan, we found out he suffered a mild concussion, but he is doing great now. He's dancing and playing just like normal.

As we left the hospital I couldn't stop thinking about how lucky I am to have my boys. It's so easy to ask God for help, but how quickly I neglect to thank him when my problem is solved. Thank God for caring for my boy.
